Men with beards (and bearded women too, I suppose) stroke them.

The stroking action is likely to be relaxing, apart from being good for the hair follicles. (Those Indian gurus with really long beards stroke theirs and rub ~ I don't know~ mango into them).

It follows that relaxation can have a beneficial impact on blood pressure.

I don't think there is any scientific reasearch into this... but there is an hypothesis for you.

BTW... don't know much about the Muslim faith but... as I understand it, only men are meant to grow beards - once they are married. If my marriage is anything to go by, these cicumstances would more likely increase a man's blood pressure..... lol.

Of course not - how could it?! Having a beard just means you're more likely to get pulled over for questioning when you fly into any European or North American airport.

Absolutely none whatsoever.

I suppose if you nick yourself shaving, it might raise your BP for a few seconds.
