I have a ACER TraveMate 2300 laptop and it keeps on buzzing intermitantly.It especially does it when I download and watch videoclips from the Internet,but also when I'm just chatting on MSN or Yahoo.The buzzing comes from the top right hand corner...hard disk problem?I don't have much knowledge about computers,so thank you for making your answers easy to understand for a "beginner".

are you sure it;s not the fan cutting in? Seems to buzz more when the computer is being driven hard, such as downloading.

My son has an Acer 5612 and when the fan cuts in it does make a buzzing noise, quite high pitched but not very loud and then cuts out again after about 10 seconds.
If you are conerned about it and your laptop is under 12 months then give the manufacturer a call. If you bought it from currys or pc world ring them.

call your computer support put the computer off and call them that maybe the fan on the way out
