When I was pregnant with my son, I got a sonogram at 5weeks and it show an egg sack moving and in a small ring was my son . You have to think about: sperm and eggs is alive, right? And when the join they are still alive! All life is precious and having an abortion would kill potentially good person that could change the world. Believe me, I wanted to end my pregnacy because I was afraid, but I look at my beautiful son now and I cannot imagine my life without. I know it sounds cliche, but, once you become a paretn then you will understand!

You have answered the question correctly- life begins at conception. that little heart beats 3 weeks after conception- brain waves at 6. Babies are babies no matter how big they are. If it is illegal to steal an Ostrich egg and destroy the embryo of the bird, and then you are fined money for killing the bird- how can it be legal to do that with a human baby? Doesn't make sense does it. God bless you for sharing this!!!!!!! Maybe more people will start understanding how precious life is from the time of conception!!

As soon as the parents germ cells unite. Not only after birth, after the heart beats or the brainwaves. The baby is still a living being.
Abortion should be illegal becuase it is murder. No matter how you look at it, you're killing a baby. A small defensless human being who relies on their mother for nurishment and safety. Ironic, huh?
The doctors and the sterile tools just sugar-coat it.
If the doctors and the mother wait until after the baby is born to kill him, wouldn't they go to prison?
Abortions can be either chemically induced or sucked out by a syringe before the first 20 weeks of gestation.
You know what I think is funny? When Pro-choicers say to week eight the baby is an embryo. From week eight the baby is a fetus and not considered a real human until week 35. But fetus is latin meaning meaning "offspring", "bringing forth", or "hatching of young." Wouldn't that mean the baby is alive?

It depends on if you mean life in the biological sense or the spiritual or philisophical sense. A fetus is "alive" in the womb because the mother is acting as a "life support machine" A baby could not survive without this support until about 9 months. Abortion ends the "life support" and the fetus would not survive.
Abortion is a PERSONAL decision. Only you can make it. No one can tell you what to do. Get the facts before you make your decision and please do not let anyone pressure you in to making one either way. It is a decision that you will have to live with for the rest of your life!
I wish you peace!

You are going to get many answers here. Before I had my baby I don't know what answer I would have given you. Now that I am a mommy, and I Had my first u/s at 5-1/2 weeks and saw a beating heart, I would say that life begins at conception...or as soon as that little heart starts beating

There are many different opinions. It depends on your definition of life. By the time the embryo is 4 weeks in the womb, it has a heartbeat of its own. By 12 weeks it has nerves and can feel pain (silent scream video on google). At 23 weeks the baby can usually survive outside the womb.
Unfortunately, doctors and scientists do not have a specific answer yet as to when a fetus's life begins and is separate from its mother's life, so it's pretty much up for debate.
I saw my baby move on ultrasound at 12 weeks...it was doing things that my brain was not telling it to do and I could not feel, and it wasn't just jolting or having nerve spasms...it was responding to the ultrasound machine by kicking at it and swimming away from it. I personally believe it is alive.
But it's something you'll have to research and decide for yourself. Until science and medicine find a specific answer for us, it's all up to your opinion.

Life begins when the baby starts growing . From the second the egg is fertilized . To say that the baby is not alive until birth would be like saying that a plant isn't alive until it sprouts from the ground and that the seed growing and being nourished underneath isn't anything at all. It's life creating life.

Life begins after conception. The "fetus" or baby as it should be called, has it's own beating heart. If you are considering abortion, you may want to visit this website first:

I believe that life begins as soon an the egg and sperm come together. Im dead against abortion as i view it as murder, but in this day and age everyone has the right to make up their own mind.
