Yea!!! Migraines!!! I get them normally from being Anemic, however the cause of this is the sudden rise in your hormone levels.
I know they hurt but the one thing you can take is tylenol. Of course you want to be sure that is ok with your doctor, also drink a lot more water and have high natural sugar fruits. Warm packs on the back of your neck and darkness with silence will also definitely help!
Best wishes to you

I get migraines alot when I'm pregnant because my body can't handle the hormones. There are lots of possible causes including pre-eclampsia which is potentially life threatening. If you have 1 bad headache I wouldn't worry too much, but if you notice a pattern of headaches call your dr. It could be just hormones or it could be something serious that needs to be addressed.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

I had bad headaches throughout my entire pregnancy. It's from the hormones and possibly higher blood pressure.

I had bad headaches in my first trimester and my doctor told me it is normal and can be caused because of changes in hormone levels and an increase in blood volume and circulation. Try tylenol extra strength and good luck! They should go away by your second trimester.

yes. The only thing that prevented them was 16 huge water bottles full of water a day! When I would drink less I would get the headaches again

I had a really bad headache 2 weeks ago. (I am only 10 wks). I think it was due to horomones and lack of sleep. For some reason, I haven't been able to stay asleep.

Yes, I got migraines for the first time while pregnant. What helped was caffeine and tylenol if I caught it early. And if that didnt complete darkness and sleep. You know its a migraine if the complete darkness thing helps. Plus watch out for dehydration, that could bring them on.
