they can't refute the criticism, so they try and discredit the person. When that doesn't work, they just try and squash the speech

Simple...non conservatives talk a lot, some with valid points. Many others are just wasting oxygen...the problem is that conservatives only hear the wind bags and over look the valid points of those who have valid ideas...This goes both ways...non conservatives do the exact same thing to conservatives and for the same reasons...
Everyone has a right to speak their minds...we also have the right to ignore the speaker. Just because someone speaks doesn't mean we the people have to accept it...
Something both sides need to understand...the rest of us don't really care about which side is right...

i'm a conservative and that i'm no longer against ALL welfare. welfare has that's place, besides the shown fact that it needs to be administered sparingly and as an emergency. no longer because of the fact I have no coronary heart, yet because of the fact i understand if i take a seat in the front room and have my food further ot me, i'm going to offer up making the trip myself. i'm no longer against welfare plenty because of the fact it takes my funds, yet because of the fact that's no longer the final answer, the final answer is to get the guy over the priority, no longer pave the way for the priority to proceed. secondly..i'm no longer for farm subsidies, or in effortless terms to a constrained foundation. whenever you subsidize, you're tricking the industry and there's a cost to pay someplace else, i'm for issues dwelling and demise on their very own advantage..if the product is impoprtant sufficient, it's going to make it, a manner would be got here across, if no longer, it wasn't a workable product, yet there are circumstances (once you're managing the food grant of the rustic) the place you could ought to help out. the line with regard to the proportion of the funds that welfare takes isn't that plenty is a fallacious argument. your dollar in the economic corporation isn't plenty the two, i ought to take it and you won't observe it being long previous...if 10,000 people all take a dollar, it ability some thing. the government is crammed with "a million p.c." subjects..if those are controlled, the entire ingredient is controlled...and in specific circumstances you do ought to look on the honestly volume and not in effortless terms proportion.

I have no problem with those exercising their first amendment rights, although alot of what the american left is doing these days is closer to treason, like printing state secrets in the newspapers. I also loved it when the "anti war" protesters were marching in washington, although I was hoping they would try to vandalize the vietnam memorial as some of them were threatening on the internet,it would have been cool to watch some vets stomp some whiny liberal commie into goo on national television, best part is they would have gotten away with it cause no way would the rest of the vets let the cops have them. Meanwhile some useless waste of air would spend the rest of his life eating through a feeding tube.

To paraphrase the Wizard of Oz, "Pay no attention to the Bill of Rights and the Constitution behind the curtain....". Conservatives by their very nature consider dissent to be un-American.

Who is whining? All I see is conservatives criticize statements like yours & liberals whine about the criticism, just as you are doing here.

Because it takes less effor to attack them as individuals and as a group than it does to address the constitutional issues involved.
It's more efficient to put off having to think about the legal questions, by just hurling emotional rhetoric and labels at them.
