The light from the sun contains all the colours of the spectrum as demonstrated when prisms separate these colours. The blue colour of the sky is due to the air molecules being able to scatter more blue from the light than red light. This is because blue light has a shorter wavelength than red. So on a clear day the sky appears very blue. Also, at sunset, the sky looks orange/red because the blue light has been scattered out away from the line of sight.

the sky isn't blue, it's colorless. when the light waves from the sun emit electrons into space, and travel through the stratosphere, the light refracts(bending of light waves), and creating the illusion of blue, but in essence the true blue is the light waves.
the sky has no color.
same thing for the ocean.

the sky is blue because blue is the color most reflected by the atmosphere. most people think that it is light reflecting off the ocean but that isn'y true.

The skly is blue because the light, is shifter to blue, as the earth approaches the sun, and in the night, it s red, as the ligh is shifter to red, as teh earth recedes from the sun.
