Who do think is going to win and why is Sanjai still on, he's the worst singer on the show

More and more I'm beginning to not like Melinda... can't really figure out why though. I agree she has a fantastic voice. But this whole "I never knew I was THAT good" act she's putting on is starting to annoy me. And I think they hinted at that last night when they asked if that's the real her. At first I think it was genuine shock. Now I think she's keeping it up to keep that innocence/humble appearence. I'm starting to not buy it anymore.
Lakisha is really good... and I love her voice. And I think she should be there for awhile. But in the end she should make a gospel-like CD because that's where her comfort zone appears to be. And while gospel is great... it's not really top 40 material.
Jordin is fantastic... she's my vote for winner! She's young, but has great control of her voice and range, plus she's got a great spunky/young attitude. And just enough humbleness to be believeable.
Blake is pretty cool. I think he brings a new vibe to the Idol scene. He definately has musical talent that will take him far.
Chris S is great too. And I learned this morning from another question that he already has a hometown band and CD out. So... while he's a great musician and good singer... if he doesn't make it all the way he'll definately still go big with his hometown band.
That's my pick for top 5: Melinda, Lakisha, Jordin, Blake and Chris S.
I so badly want Sanjaya to go home. If nothing else, to save his dignity. I think last night was a desperate plea to let him leave. He said in his clip "I know I'm not the best singer" He knows he's the outcast amoung a group of wonderful musicians and is only there for the sympathy (votefortheworst) and teeny bopper ("crying girl") vote. I know he won't be going home tonight... but hopefully it'll be soon!

My favorites are Blake, Jordin, Gina and Haley. They can sing and I think they have the right style for AI. Contrary to what the judges keep saying, I don't think AI is JUST about singing. You have to be able to sell records too. That's why I still don't understand how Taylor and Rubin were EVER crowned American Idol...but I digress.
Sanjaya needs to go, I agree. I'm feeling kind of "ho hum" about Lakisha and Melinda at this point. Sure, they can sing, but they don't really excite me. There's something about both Chris's (Richardson and Sligh) that really irritates me but I can't put my finger on it. Phil's a sweet guy but he's just not good enough. Stephanie is a Beyonce wannabe with less soul...which is too bad, because I actually liked her at the beginning.

There is a website called 'vote for the worst', supported by Howard Stern. They are urging everyone to vote for Sanjaya (currently the worst singer), so that the worst will win the whole thing. Very unfair, and will all but ruin the credibility of the show. Nothing, really, can be done, except eliminate America voting.
Frankly, I think its despicable. The show has clearly earned its stripes, whether you enjoy it or not - as it has launched legitimate careers of talented people...its not just another reality show. But it looks as though some have figured out a way to mess it all up.
I would like to see the producers step in, and change the voting system...in light of this. Or, for his own sake, Sanjaya should step out of the competition. He knows its going on, and it will only serve to make a fool out of him...

30 mil. watch, Sanjai is on because Howard Stern is asking his listeners to vote for him to win as a joke against American Idol. I predict a black girl will win lol

I don't watch it anymore. 2 seasons ago I got tired of that show. THey were saying today that even tho he's a bad singer that people keep him there cuz of his "lovely locks and his big smile" pew! First of all thats now what American Idol is supposed to be about and secondly his hair and smile are ugly as well as the rest of him.

Sanjai is still on b/c HE IS HOT! I like Blake, Lakisha, and Jordin. They are REALLY good!!!! I can't wait for tonight-the elimination! :-)

there seems to be a "Chris" trend lately. Chris Richardson and Chris Sligh are the best 2 guys this year. and last year's Chris Daughtry was the best ever on the show. so i am a fan of CHris and CHris this year, but Amanda is right- Haley rocks. :)

sanjaya is still on the show, one because people like to laugh at him and two u have all these little 12 year old girls voting for him cuz they think he is cute, when he is actually not
