Ok, this is my fiancee's favorite name for a girl, although a very pretty name, Has anyone ever seen the movie "Player's Club"? It's a stripper name... I told him that, and i hurt his feelings, i just don't know... What do you guys think?

I think you should stop worring about what others think. If you both like the name go with it. If you both don't like it then think of something else! And when you both find a name you like, don't ask people what they think, who cares it's your child.

I think it is a good name. I doubt many people would know that. I didnt. See if you can compromise. Make sure you appologize and tell hime you didnt mean it in a mean way. Do you like the name? Of cousre dont name her that if you are going to think of a stripper when u look at your child. I dont think it should be a big deal if you really like it. Or else switch it to Maria Diamond. That way is just as pretty! Best of luck to you!

Yes I have met a Diamond before.. two in fact, and their mothers had them at the age 15 and had to become strippers. Dont do that to your baby!

it really does sound like a strippers name...sorry to hurt his feeling but imagine how your daughter would feel. Try to reverse it. Maria Diamond sounds better.

I think that u should think it out and do what's best for tha baby. Think of how that name would affect her when she's older. U don't want her coming home from school in tears saying that ppl at school are calling her a stripper, do you?!

I personaly like the name but not alot of people may like it. That is the problem I had. I named my now 13 year old daughter Jillian Frances and she always got made front of, so we ended up changing it. So when you pick a name have your daughter in mind not just yourself!

Maria Diamond sound much better and less tacky, choosing a childs name is something you both need to agree on.
