"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...

And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

I love it! Thomas Jefferson was one of America's greatest Presidents and one of the greatest Americans of all time. Right now the people fear the government because the government serves the corporate elite and the illegal alien lobbies. It certainly is time for a revolution; we can do it by having the states call for a constitutional convention to rewrite the constitution. We need to make the constitutional "idiot proof" so that liberal judges do not make wacky interpretations that hurt our people!

it truly is a few thing else John Adams agreed with, alongside with each and all the United State senate. Treaty of Tripoli, article 11. because of the fact the government of the country isn't, in any experience, based on the Christian faith; because it has in itself no character of enmity against the guidelines, faith, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, because of the fact the mentioned States under no circumstances entered into any warfare, or act of hostility against any Mahometan united states of america, it truly is declared by means of the events, that no pretext bobbing up from non secular comments, shall ever produce an interruption of the solidarity contemporary between the two worldwide places.

While I understand what he is saying, 20 years during his time might have been the way to go, but today is so different. We need some major change, but I think a rebellion every 20 years is a bit much. I also don't think they meant the Constitution to remain the same forever either. It seems to be need updating to apply to modern times.

We are taking to arms, and destroying the terrorists who have risen up in rebellion against us.

Revolution works under an evil dictator, not a GREAT DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED leader.
