I think this year he will do a little worse. They really don't have any good wide outs. And although LT had a record breaking year last year look for him to slow down this year. Almost every recent back that had a record breaking year slows down after because of all the hits and energy they gave up that year. Look at Shaun Alexander getting injured the next year and Jamal Lewis after his 2000 yard season he hasn't amounted to much. Also they released Donnie Edwards so they wont be able to blitz the OLBs as much without a good cover linebacker and since their secondary is weak their defense wont be nearly as good as last year.

All adds up to he should have a decent year but not a "pro-bowl" year like last year.

It sounds like you feel he did not have a good year. He was #8 in passer rating (92.0), #9 in yards (3388), #8 in TDs (22), and only 9 INTs. The guy had a good season, especially considering it was his first as a starter.

Will Norv help or hinder? It's hard to say. Norv does not have a great track record as a head coach. But then he has never had a team like this.

I think he will have a very good year because of the team around him. Of all the QBs above him in QB rating last year I can easily see him jumping ahead of all of them except for Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. Tom Brady finished one slot below him and I think he will have a great year this year.

So I think Phillip Rivers could easily end up the #3 or #4 passer this year.

Yes he will.

No bickering, complaining, or worrying. River's is young, and only has room to improve, he was a good QB last year. He'll do better than last year and the Chargers are my prediction to win the superbowl.

Probably not. As long as the Chargers have Tomlinson he will be the O and he will be the guy they sink or swim with. Rivers is the definition of a maintenance QB

yes, since Norv Turner is one of the best QB coaches in the NFL. i am a niners fan, so i know what he did with Alex Smith and my brother is a cowboys fan, and Norv Turner did alot with Troy Aikman, and made him such a great player.

as a head coach overall however he won't do well, but he will help rivers alot

I'm not sure how much better of a year he can have after leading his team to #1 seeding but as long as LT is still a running threat behind him I don't think he'll have any problems

i'm a charger fan, and that's a hard venture. i think of Drew is incredible, however the protection mandatory extreme help, and that they could not commerce Brees in the previous. He became their ideal hazard to win final year, and to commerce him interior the midst of the season does not have performed any reliable for the team.

He will be a great QB in the future, perhaps this year. I cannot believe that Tommy Tubberville recruited him as a DB.
