pregnant shortly after theirs & if you did what was the outcome? Did you successfully carry to term, how soon after your d & c did you get pregnant? Need to know where I could possibly be in the future...want to get an idea of when I might get pregnant & if it will be fine. Want to see others experiences...

I miscarried in January and had a D&C. The doctor gave me a go ahead and I got pregnant and miscarried in May. It seems like every doctor has a different opinion on when you should start trying. After the second miscarriage, we ran a bunch of tests, and basically learned nothing was wrong. In July, when we weren't supposed to be trying and not even thinking about it, we got pregnant. Basically, your body needs time to heal. I guess technically, it took me six months. My daughter is now a year old. If I hadn't miscarried, I wouldn't have her. I wouldn't change a thing.
Good luck!

I miscarried last march, I was 8 weeks and had to get a d&c as well. Everyone is different so don't get discouraged. I am still trying actually and my hub and I are seeing a fertility dr at the moment. I just finished my first cycle on some fertility pills and no luck so I have just started the second cycle and we are going to try an IUI. Some women get pregnant right away though so good luck to you and all the best.

I had a miscarriage last May, didn't need a d & c though. Got pregnant in July. I have very irregular periods, so it was a surprise to get pregnant so soon, since it took over a year of trying before the miscarriage.

I'm very sorry - I'm in a similar situation..I miscarried at 15 weeks on January 17th, I had planned to have a D&C the next day, but somehow, my water broke and I 'delivered' at home...it was highly tramatic... though i did have the d&C anyway, to make sure everything was gone.

Someone above me said that you 'have' to wait three months or you are more at risk of having another miscarriage. My doctor plainly said that that's not true and it was irresponsible of the person to tell you that, when it's not a proven fact...

Anyway, i don't know if i can help you, but after my miscarriage, I waited until i got my period...it took 6 weeks..and then i tired again...I'm currently in the 2 week wait...I think i may be pregnany, but I test this saturday.

Babydust, babydust, babydust....

i had three miscarriages and three d & cs. one was april of 95. i then got pregnant about 7 months later and had a healthy pregnancy and a beautiful girl. i had the 2nd in 2002. it was a surprise pregnancy so i didnt try again after that one. i just recently had one in august of 06 and then got pregnant about 1 month later. i am now 7 months pregnant and due to have a baby boy in june of 07. they told me there was no one reason why i had those miscarriages, but after those i was careful in the beginning of the pregnancies because i didnt want to go through another miscarriage. i want to wish u good luck in the future.

You'll be advised to wait 3 months before trying to get pregnant again - any sooner will increase the chance of having another miscarriage.
