my x box is playing up during gameplay the screen freezes and the power button flashes red i turn it of and back on i play it for 5 mins and screen freezes again starts flashes red whats wrong anyone

Your system is dead.
I hope you have a warranty or something, because there is no helping your system.
If your warranty has expired, you might be able to send it to Microsoft and pay them to fix it.
I believe the red lights you are seeing means the 360 is having a hardware problem, so there is no way for you to fix it.
--"if there are 3 red lights, that means your 360 is done and is dead "--
That actually means that you have a software failure.
I have had that happen before, and turned on and played my 360 5+ hours.

THE CONSOLE IS OVER HEATING.@ THIS POINT THE MEMORY IS PROBABLY MEST UPif it happed more than 2 times. my first 360 did that so i had to get a new 1. the 1 i have now did it again 1 time and it work great now

OH NOOOO!! i have one to and those are called the red lights of death or rings of death one of those meaning your xbox 360 doesn't work anymore and u need to get it fixed or get a new one. Hopefully that never happens to me. Good Luck With That.

also check your connections in the back of the xbox make sure that they are not lose i had that problem too but all it was that the battery pack was lose and it wasn;t making a good connection but don't forget xbox entended the warranty to 1 year so you might want to give them a call

if there are 3 red lights, that means your 360 is done and is dead, should bring it to best buy and ask them to help, and on what's the deal.
