Noone can know exactly the cause nor the effect of global warming.
Computer models are reliant upon the input given to them, much of which is still guess work.
That said - there can be no doubt we are currently witnessing a global warming trend. Whether this is partially caused by humans is a point of significant tension. However the theory behind the human impact is sound and the trend is more pronounced than anything we have directly measured before (although there is evidence of past dramatic climate shifts predating mankind).
The impact of any significant climate shift, while hard to predict, will be substantial. Much of the way the world currently is is reliant on local climates. Different diseases thrive in different climates, different weather phenomonen (from large scale such as the Northern Hemisphere's moderate climate to individual patterns such as hurricanes or dry spells) are cause by the macro-climate. Any shift will make these phenomonen difficult to predict and trace. Even politics and economics are massively reliant on the climate.
Given that we have a sound theory (admittedly unproven but very widely respected and agreed within the scientific community) not only on the cause but also the solution, is it not irresponsible to dismiss this said solution rather than work together towards it?

Global warming is a hoax. Weather patterns go in cycles. For example back in the 1600's and 1700's the earth went through what weather experts called a "mini-ice age". Today, they are expecting the same thing. You have to understand something. The whackos like Al Gore who are screaming about global warming were screaming about the dangers of global COOLING back in the 1970's. You can get all the info you want on that bit of nonsense pretty much anywhere.

Overly excited about something.
The climate is always changing. During the medieval warm period, when it was warmer than it is now, great cathedrals were built.
Following this, there was a little ice age, during which glaciers engulfed farms in northern Europe, causing great consternation.
Now it's getting warmer again.
It's not a sign of catastrophe.
For a little balance to the hype, watch "The Great Global Warming Swindle" on Youtube.com. It was produced by scientists who have a different perspective on climate change.

Threat is an interesting choice of worlds. It makes it sound like the world is trying to get back at us for treating it badly.

You will probably not live to see global warming become a day to day problem but your children certainly might if we don't act to try to slow it down.

And I say try because we don't understand everything about what is causing global warming. The very best we can do is look at the wasteful and unnecessary things we do and try to eliminate them. We can also try to reduce our overall impact on the environment by burning fuels more cleanly.

one and one equals two
some thing is going on
but the weather is a sign of a pole flip

same as the solar spots but on a water planet it makes cyclones /typhoons/torn-aidoes
not solar flairs here but water ones
or wind ones
not solar flares but atmosheric disturbance [signs ] non the less
we have 5 years
not 50 ,nor 100

look at the field anomamolies that drive the weather front
its gravitational field entangle ment
sign the poles shift
yet may come arround 2012[dec]

just as the suns pole shift is heralded by the sun spot sign
see the cause [signs ] for what they are
or could well be [what about preperations
just in case?
know 18 mounths of darkness follows a pole shift
because all the dust gets destributed into the atmoshere
also the pole shift will be follower by a severe food shortage
do we have less than 5 years to prepare?

easier to blame global warning?
what about truth not the spin
science betrays man
allways has
allways will
its morally dispicable but its science
scientific fraud all the same

Al Gore should be imprisoned for lying. Global warming IS real, it's just not as imminently dangerous as he is hyping it up to be if at all. Gore just wants to sell "offsets" from his own company for fun and profit.
What does Gore to say about Mars and its rising temperature? There are certainly no evil SUV's tooling around on that planet, is there?
This "dire emergency" has been eaten up by the rabid leftists that will swallow ANYTHING that suggests humans, especially Americans, are at fault.

Regardless what people say, CO2 omissions are having an effect on the earth's atmosphere.
So is it a threat, yes, can you do something about it, yes, but if nobody else in the world helps it wouldnt really help.

It is a tempest in a teapot..
Hyped by self serving environmentalists and supported
by ignorant liberals...
Earths climate has been changing for 4 1/2 Billion years..
It is currently warming up a bit..
Man has contributed an unknown amount to this warming..
The sky is not falling...
Man will adapt...
We will be fine...

actually only about 2-4% ofg global warming is caused by human activity, the majority is from natural causes such as volcanos and forest fires, but I think that we should work on gas emissions and smoking to keep it down as low as possible ;)

People are not overexcited about it. Maybe this generation doesnt need to worry about it. But in a few hundred years the Earth may be on the verge of a huuge climate shift. WE are ruining the Earth. We need to worry about the problems now
