I remember when I was younger I was wasn't that heavy. I could jump high easy playing basketball. I was 5'9 and 148 pounds. I joined the Army and with all the push ups they made me do I bulked up so much. I know weigh 190 pounds of muscle. Even though it's muscle now, hell, I can't jump as high as I could when I was light as a feather weighing 148 pounds. I know you can never lose muscle but I need to get my weight back down. i play a lot of basketball, and I want to be able to get up off the ground with ease like I did when I was 148 instead of 190! The Army put all that muscle on my body which is not for basketball bodies. How do you lose muscle? I'm not really fat. I'm bulked up now. Which muscle weighs more than fat. It's keeping me from getting off the ground. Is it possible to lose some muscle? I'm going to all Cardio again? Arnold Schwarzneggar lost it all from his bodybuilding days how did he lose some of that muscle To slim down?

To be honest, Time... but really the weight should not effect your vertical that much, besides in basketball muscle can be just as effective as height/jump.

Learn to play using your strengths, and stick to Cardio like you said.. that will help. Do some leg excersises (line hops do wonders) But mostly, learn to use the muscles to draw some fouls... and to put a little lean on your drives.

Hey I am a skinny girl and I have no idea about muscles and basketball players and stuff. So maybe I am not the right person to answer that. I just wanna say I bet you look great. But if you really wanna loose some of it it can be done but very slowly. I saw once something on Discovery about girls who used to go to contests once , ones like MRS OLYMPIA. Later on some of them wanted to reduce their miscles. One of the women said she used to eat less pritein foods and she trained a lot. But her new fitness programmed included excersises that made muscles longer rather that bulky. She said she went to consilt a specialist. By the way I love sexy players. Good luck.
