I've included links to a pictures of an Equate pregnancy test I took this morning. After about 3 minutes there appeared to be a very very faint vertical line. Do you see it? Does this mean that it's positive or does it do that to negative results to?

I'm a bit confused as well because today I noticed some brown spotting at work. It's been at least 14 days since ovulation and I'm on day 32 of my cycle. My period should be here now, but I'm not sure if the brown spotting I saw today is the start of my period. What do you think?

I could be wrong, but it looks like evaporation line. A month ago I went through the same thing. My test result looked just like yours. A couple weeks later I had blood test done and it was negative. I had taken a few equate, they seem to have that grayish line. Good luck though, anything is possible.

i am going to say that it is a positive pregnancy test. i can see the line. even though it is faint it is still positive. i had that happen to me too. you read the results in the recommended time and so i have no doubt about it. you said that you are also late and that brown blood that you are talking about sounds like implantation bleeding. i can guarentee you that if you get another test and take it in another day or two the line will be darker. i wouldn't be telling you this if i really wasn't sure. it is obviously picking up the hcg in your urine or else there wouldn't be a line at all. false positives are very rare. i asked a doctor and the same question and all that i am telling you is what i was told by him.

Wait a few more days. It doesn't look that conclusive to me. If your period hasn't started by say saturday, test again. If you are pregnant, the test should be more clear then. It could just be too early for it to show up for sure. Also, if you wait too long to read the test, it could show the wrong result. It does look like something is there, but it's too faint to tell. Wait a few days, and if nothing happens, test again. If the other test still is really light, call your doctor and see if they will order a blood test for you. They are more sensitive and can tell earlier then an HPT if you are. Good luck!!!

i think you could be! the line being so light could be from your urine not having enough hcg in it to give you a darker result, I usually take the tests that have the two lines next to eachother instead of the one you took so im not to sure on how those work BUT with the ones i took, the line would have no color whatsoever, just a grey line where a positive would be, so since the line i see on yours has a tint of pink, it looks like you are, but just to make sure, go to the dollar store and get a another test there, (if you dont wanna spend alot on another one) and test in TWO more days because the hcg gets higher every two days! and the dollar tests work very very well, i never had a problem with them! i found out i was pregnant before using them, just a couple days after a missed period! goodluck!

That's a tough one to tell from the pics! Sometimes, a faint line still means a positive, it just means that your body has not produced enough of the hcg hormone yet to fully register a pregnancy. That happened to me this last time around! The light brown spotting you are having could be implantation bleeding...which is what happens when the fertilized egg implants itself into your uterus! I'd wait a few more days to a week, and then retake. Good luck to you!

I honestly had trouble seeing the line, but on my tests it was hard to get a good picture shot. Ok anyways on my Equate test the vertical was way darker then the horizontal lol. I would wait 2 more days and do them again!

I had tests that looked just like this. They were very faint but still a positive and I turned out to be pregnant. If you take another one tomorrow you should be able to tell for sure, it will at least be darker. I would suggest getting a digital test that will say "pregnant" or "not pregnant" it takes the guess work out of it and once I saw that one I knew I was.

Personally, I didn't see any vertical line other than the control line... either way it may be too soon for you to have tested. Wait 2 days and test again (if your period hasn't started). The line would be darker if there was really one there before. If not go to the doctor and have a blood test done.

I personally do not see the faint line but it might be the lighting in the picture. I would take a first response test ( that is the only one that ever worked for me) in the morning with your first morning urine where your hcg level is at its highest. I would try that and if it is still negative I would call your obgyn and set up an appointment.

To be honest I don't see a vertical line, but that could just be from the angle of the pics...but if there is one even a faint one then its a positive test..Spotting can happen around period time and you could still be pregnant...as long as its not bright red and heavy...Congrats and Good Luck!
