The price will depend on how long you wish to rent it for.Unless you can come to an agreement with a private owner most flats are let with a lease.
If you are looking for a holiday flat you will be charged by the day or the week.So you can expect it to be a lot more expensive than normal renting.
Be careful,there a many ,many to select from, especially around Luxor.
But the quality and hygiene level of what is available can vary from luxury to a virtual hovel. With most you will have no come back. Even if the flat is a shocker and on a service road at the back of the sugar fields.
Either book through a reputable tourist agent that you know or go though the recommendations on the Egyptian Government Department of Tourism's website,
