I have dance a several times a week. It's pretty intense, so I get really sweaty. What's some great makeup or tricks I can use to make myself look less like a sweating tomato? :)

I would stay away from powders because they will clump up when you sweat.Try a tinted moisturizer! They are great for sports people and they are light on you skin but give you a healthy look to your skin. Clinque and Clarin make great ones also I believe that mabelline makes one. For mascara use you could use a water proof mascara, if you really need to but they are very hard on the lashes so if you don't have a great eye make up remover stay away from it because your lashes tend to fall out very easily. If you use a regular mascara, get a cotton ball and lightly dab your eyelashes with baby power before you put the mascara on. It will help it not to smear. Great mascaras are Diorshow, Prescriptive and even maybelline makes a good one. Finish will a great lip-gloss.. I like lip venom or Dior's lip gloss because it makes your lip look full but there are many great glosses out there!
Have fun at you dance class! Work out for me too... i bet that is great exercise!

Okay, so a lot of people are saying MAC but if you're dancing a lot you'll probably be going through the makeup pretty quick and you'll be going through a lot of cash. A much less expensive trick I recommend is buying a product like clearasil it's an acne medication ( I realize this makes no sense so far and you don't have acne but stay with me) if you put just a little under your eye it will prevent your eye makeup from running down your face. Also, if you put it on before you use foundation it'll help that stay on through the workout.
I have no idea why this works so well but it does, plus it will save you from buying really expensive makeup that will give you the same result. Good Luck!! :]

You should use waterproof mascara for example and you should use the new loreal powder foundation with the brush, its new.Use oil free foundation thats protect against the sun && that last hours.&& dont put eyeliner on your bottom lids, it will get all messy. Just aply your foundation or some blush, a light eyeshadow and some mascara, [if you want] and a light lip gloss, remember your goin dancing not to the grammy's. Going light is the new look, you shouldnt go too heavy on ur makeup.

The body shop do a shine sweat control tea tree thing which you could put under your foundation.
Dior spray foundation is great but it cost £29 if you are on a budget then rimmel pots of matte foundation are great!
Plus i would avoid using a glittery eye shadow because if you get sweaty it will get everywhere!
Hope this helps.

I love Bare Minerals makeup. And they have a mineral veil dusting powder that reduces that shine even when you do sweat. It can be used over the mineral makeup or under it, even alone. What's cool about it is that it gives your skin this portrait finish look but it appears natural even when you do sweat. Go to BareMinerals.com and check it out. Hope this helps.

Mac make up is the best its a tad costly but worth it,I wear it to the gym and it holds up great!!..you can go to the mac counter in dept store explain the sweat thing and they will give and test the product for you...(tip) once you find the ones you really like, buy them on e-bay(cheaper)Also(I used to dance also) I use to mix 1 teaspoon fine cornstarch in my loose powder..(I only wore on stage) cornstarch absorbs and you keep a non shiny look 4 hours....good luck

i love mac studio tech, but its expensive, another thing to try is just get mac concealer for like imperfections, use it on whatever you want to cover, then use a normal foundation, like the ones you find in walmart or walgreens then use bare minerals over it. it sounds like alot but it works REALLY good and wont fade or wear away during the day. (i work in a warehouse and sweat in the summer and it never fades)

nothing garish, 'cause then it'll stand out even more if you have to sweat it off.
some light/pale shiny lipgloss (if you want...)
try to put on as little makeup as possible, just a really light color that won't stand out but will hide your "redness" if you get really sweaty and hot.

less is more.
try some waterproof makeup so that it dont wear off when you sweat..the more you put, the worse it gets when it really does come off!
