The car starts but the shift lever won't move. The lock button doesn't push in all the way.

your car is equipped with an electrical solenoid that does not allow it to shift out of park with out brake being applied. I would say you probably don't have any brake lights either. check your fuses. this could be why your radio does not work also. if the fuses are good check the brake light switch located at the top of the brake pedal.

Well I can not see, but, if you on a hill there may be enough pressure on the park mechanism to keep it from shifting. Though I have never seen this, it may be possible.
The other is; some cars you have to press the brake to shift from park. I guess it an electrical switch and if it is bad then it will not allow you to shift from park and it will need bypassed or replaced.

fairly some the time that's a reasonably effortless activity to do a catback with the splendid kit. some issues to evaluate is that if the bolts a to rusty to do away with by using sockets or wrenches do you have a manner or a gadget to decrease the bolts off. after the bolts are off its a count of purely bolting the hot one on and connecting to the exhaust mounts. in case you had a chum that has some adventure with vehicles then it is going to no longer be a concern. a Chilton or a Haynes e book is superb yet i want the Haynes over the Chilton.
