Rip you off. We are in the process of cancelling our service with TruGreen (Chemlawn) because we are very unhappy. Our yard looks horrible! My husband feels that if their corporate office is in Ohio, they no nothing about our Texas lawn! I have heard that 13-13-13 (known as triple 13) is one of the best products, at least here in Texas.

I've done this - however you need to look at the cost. My lawn company costs me $42.50 every quarter( 4 times per year) If you price the cost of the chemicals - weed killer, fertilizer, a sprayer plus the cost of your time . For me it was better to go with the lawn care company

short answer nothing but time.

they do save you the time that it would normally take you to go to the store purchase all the products drive home and apply the products at various times of the day and month.

I love gardening spending time in my yard so this isnt a problem for me, but when I was working 60hr week I hired them to take care of my lawn because I didnt have the time or energy myself.

Nothing except charge you a lot more for doing it. All they do is save you your own time and labor. But you pay for it. Some people with loads of money think the savings is worth it. But I don't like to pay anyone to do for me what I can do myself.
