Not really and it also depends on the number of people in your house hold or the number of guests you might entertain. For example if you had a tea party with 15 guests? Or there are six of you living in a house and somebody forgets to start the dishwasher, well then you need extra cups.

Never! I always seem to run out. No one ever wants to use the same one! I keep a supply of disposable cups on hand for this very reason!

i think at one point in time it just gets rediculous. But some people have collectors cups and such so i guess it varies by who you ask. this seems to be a matter of opinion

Yes you certainly can.
The more ou have, the more youll go through before you actually wash them, the more you have to wash.
