I have a 1970 suzuki ts250 and a 2 of my stator coils went bad so i had to buy new ones i have already installed them and all i need to do is set the points gap. i have looked all over the net and i cant find any answers. can you help me?!?!?!?

Fordman is correct, however, with that type of system you set the points where ever they need to be set in order to establish the correct timing ( usually F mark on flywheel at idle) then if the points are .012-.016 inches OK if less then the point rubbing block is worn out and they need to be replaced. Actually, timing is the critcal factor hear, once you get the timing correct, just eye the points, if they have any visable gap at all don't worry about them. You can set the timing with a timing liight, Ohm meter, test light, or buzzbox.

most point gaps were .016" back in the days.
