and your not skinny, but your not fat, (you what people call normal) you end up doing plus-size modeling. Why???? Like that new girl on America's nxt top model, the black, beautuful chubby girl. Tyra considers her a "plus size model", but I doubt she is even a size 16. please explain that to me!

I wear a 12 and was with a friend in Lane Byrant and they had one of their plus sized fashion shows playing on the t.v. and some of the modes were quite thin so I asked a sales lady about it and she said models a size 10 or over were considered plus sized. Considering the average size in America is a 16 I think it's pretty sad that the industries say that a 10 is 'plus sized'. I wish these companies and designers would advertise that health and well being is more important than striving for a shape that is impossible unless you starve yourself.

That's the cruelty of the industry. A girl who is 6 foot tall and a size two is considered "Ideal", but a 6 footer who is a size 8-10 is plus-sized. Ridiculous. Both the "plus sized" girls on America's Next Top Model are probably very normal sized (other than their height) in person. Curvy and female in form should not be labeled plus-sized or, worse, fat.

The standard for models is a -23. Anything above that on the positive size is too fat. Or that's what modeling agencies think. Bring on the normal girls!

The way they size today anything size 12 and up is considered plus size. Now you called her chubby, if you think she's "Normal" why would you call her chubby?

Because she is not smaller than a size 6. That is normal model standards.

It's just the sad state of Hollywood. If you're larger than a size 4, you're obese. I can tell you right now, I must be a fat hog by Hollywood's standards.

camra adds weight, but I agree with you. I don't think size 0-4 is pretty. Whenever I look at the the ladies they always look gross. I'm normal and love it!! I don't know why ppl think a tiny person with obvious implants is pretty? wierd???

Don't people know that if the t&a don't match is gross!!!

Size 14 is large so a 16 is extra large. We must be shrinking or maybe our brains are.
