Why do i get a whole bunch of nonstop popups that say my cpu registry is damaged and i need a cleaner?

I have a pop up blocker and i still keep getting pop ups.

the weird thing is i just formatted my hard drive.

Your PC is infected with adware and a pop up blocker wont do any good with a PC that is already infected. Use these scans to remove adware.

You may be getting them from messenger service ..

Try this

Go to your control panel >Administrative tools>Short cut to services> Find messenger service> disable it and press apply ..Other wise you probably have a virus or some spyware..

Which im sure you'll get a list of good sites with removal tools from others..
