The southeast! The weather is great, the cost of living (in most areas) is reasonable and the people are friendly. I'd recommend before you do anything though is pick a few places and go visit. There are so many places to choose from...it really depends on what you want. Here are some ideas...
Big City - Atlanta, Miami
Smaller City - Charlotte, Durham Area
Beach Area - Charleston, Wilmington
