I think you should walk because it is an individual event as much as it is a schoolwide ceremony. This walk is supposed to be a capstone in your life and "should" give you a sense of accomplishment. Sure, you might loathe all of the people at your school but you shouldn't deny yourself the once in a lifetime event. (You could always skip the reunions ten years later).

I think you should walk. It's not so much about the rest of your class as it is about you. You've made it through high school and deserve to accept your diploma in front of your family and friends.
Also, though you may not feel as though you'll regret it now, you might in a few years. It's better to walk at graduation and be sure you'll never regret it than sit it out and feel bad later. Besides, it's only an hour or two of your life. Why risk it?
EDIT: I forgot to add that my friend Erin decided not to walk and has really regretted it ever since.

I didn't walk at my high school graduation but i really re grated after ward because that only comes once in life. And then we never look back we get so busy in life that we have no time to look back. So go for it you'll miss it after. It's good moment and you don't have to have friend to go to graduation i's your special day. You take you family with you if not all then just take your sister or mother whoever you feel comfortable with with. Don't feel shy be berave. Wear something pretty and take some pictures or maybe make video. Belive me you'll like it i really miss my graduation. Well good luck and have a lots of fun.

Respectfully, I completely disagree with you. to stroll to the song of Pomp and condition is, for many scholars the crown of years of early existence, and youthful people education, and a step forward in direction of genuine existence: for some, there will be no college, they in all risk will enlist interior the Armed amenities, for others, marriage, maternity, family participants existence. consequently, graduation day it incredibly is a chuffed day. i'm very sorry for you. in all risk your college years have been in some procedures unhappy ones, no acquaintances to declare " farewell my chum " yet...to each and each his on.

i've never heard of no anyone skipping that part of graduation... or graduation actually. even if you hate high school you should just walk because you will regret not doing it, and besides, what's so bad about doing it? once you're done with graduation, high school is behind you and you have way more to look forward to.

YES, it is part of your high school years, and also I found it to be good closure on the whole thing. You went through the whole thing trying to graduate and now here it is! And if they tell you not to throw your hat.... do it anyways what are they gonna do suspend you?

I say, only you know if you are truly that unhappy at your school that you will avoid your own graduation just because you feel out of place. If you genuinely feel that way, don't go. The memory you will have is that you didn't go. Is that what you wish to remember always? "I didn't go to my own graduation." ??

Do it for your family. Its one of those thing you only get a chance of doing once. Its only an hour of your life. Just think of it as closing a chapter on your life.

My friend didn't. As far as I know she doesn't regret it. However, I think you shouldn't let what they think of you dictate what you do. Walk proud! :)
ps- high school totally sucks!
