the studs in my ears are currently 6s. i want to go all the way to 0 (zero) but i'm not sure whether i can go back down after that.

0 is probably the biggest you can go without permanent gauges. When you're ready to go back down, get some Preperation H and use it on your lobes. I went from a 2 to an 18 that way.

I have been given as much as a 00 then had to take them out for my new interest. My lobes now appear as if they have been under no circumstances gauged in any respect. although, the hollow streches much less complicated now, So i ought to gauge them returned fantastically immediately

it is generally accepted that 2 gauge is the 'point of no return.'

if you later change your mind at that size and wish to downsize, it would probably shrink back to 8g or 6g at the smallest.

I don't think they will close back or get smaller at a zero......
