Certain animals are replelled by mint.
Moles never roam in a mint bed and it is used as a mold repellent.
Deer will eat dried mint, but not green mint, and rabbits will not eat mint, but they too avoid the smell of mint so it retards rabbits but only a foot or two away from the mint.
Virtually, noting will repell a coon. Those animals are scavangers and walk right over mint to feast of any scraps.
You would need a lot of mint fields to repell dogs. Just a bit here and there does noting.
Ive tried this thing and it grows wild right in my county so I am quite familar with it. It is highly overated as repellent and in my opinion , not worth the effort and expense because it doesnt work in nearly all cases ive experienced.

Not that I'm aware. Do you want to repel animals? I have suggestions for repelling different types of critters naturally.

No. Deer, dogs, rabbits and such will all eat mint. And you have to be cautious when growing mint, it can be very invasive if not contained.

squirrels were eating all of my tomatoes, I steeped mint leaves then sprayed it on my tomatoes. The squirrels haven't touched my tomatoes since but I spray after every rain.
