STD's. The rate of STD's in college aged people is unbelieveable. I work with many different groups of people, and I am seeing such a huge rise in STD's in 20 something's. It is quite sad that today many are still uneducated in sexual health. Especially with all the dangerous STD's and rise of pregnancy. It doesnt take much to just sit down with teenagers and educate them early on. I once had a 15 yr old patient with AIDS, and all her parents could say was it was her fault. Excuse me? You should have been there to educate her. Not enough education at home or at school if you ask me. Please prevent something like this happening to you or to a loved one. If you want to learn more, visit your local planned parenthood or sexual health clinincs, and dont be afraid to ask questions whether to a teacher, family member or friend. Its better to be safe than sorry!

FREEDOM!!! For them but I am thinking of MY freedom as the mother of 3 college students who were previously three high schoolers in MY house. Now my house is my own again and empty nest syndrome is the greatest, most liberating syndrome to ever affect mankind!

Yes, I was 41 when I first went to college and the college kids could not have made me feel anymore welcome...they were wonderful to me. In time, I became everyone's surrogate MOM ... They would come running to me when they forget their paper, pens, notes..whatever. It was good between us.
