The best band ever is Led Zeppelin.
LOL, to the people who gave this a thumbs down you obviously have the sense of taste of someone simultaneously suffering from ageusia and anosmia.

There are some good new bands, but they don't get the air play because the corpoerate sell out whores who don't know the first thing about music keep playing rap.Try the band Jet, they are true to the roots of rock n roll.

Depends what kind of genere you're interested in.
Rock: The Fray, Three Doors Down, Nickelback, Creed
R&B: Beyonce, Rhianna
Rap: Chamillionaire, Webstar
Pop: Fergie, Kelly Clarkson, Lindsey Haun
Other: Weird Al Yancovich, Switchfoot
Of course, that's just my opinion.

"new"?
There are a few decent new bands out there, but you're gonna have a hard time finding anything "best" like there was with the greats from the 60's, 70' and 80's.
The music industry has changed the way we listen and buy.
There are no more super-groups.
What is left is for you and me to search out the indie artists that sound good and hope that they'll develop.

I have the besttttt band for you to check out, The Kings of Leon!
They are super good and my personal fav!
They actually have a new CD coming out the first of April.
Both there new stuff and old is great!
PLLEASE CHECK THEM OUT!
They need more publicity in the US they are really hot in Europe!
I promise you will love them, they are very different

umm that's easy. Led Zeppelin is the best band of all time duhhhhhhh. but as for "of the moment" bands, Dashboard Confessional or Plain White T's. Sublime's good, and not really a band, but Jimmy Buffett is amazing!

check out my favorite detroit band called Blanche......
they have a myspace site with music and their website www.blanchemusic.com has some free video and song downloads. they are great. alt/country sounding. lead singer dan john miller used to play in a few different bands with jack white.
