We have some people in the group who are under 21 and no one over 25 to vouch for them, so that ruled out Dave and Busters (Buskers?). We wanted to do something fun like that, and we wanted to have our own room or something to ourselves but not pay a lot at the same time. Any ideas?
Thanks :)

Rent a room at a karaoke bar in koreatown that has private rooms with the whole karaoke set-up (they're called noraebangs).

***
ORCHID
3900 W.6th Street - Los Angeles
This Restaurants claim to fame is the 2 nd floor and there private Karaoke Rooms.
This is not a cheesy, cheap Karaoke affair, you will run into some of your favorite Hollywood Celebs renting rooms(aka, it is very pricy). Great spot for Birthdayparties, if you are into it!

i think of the 1st question you may desire to ask is in what area of l. a. do you opt to have this occasion and then in keeping with that determination you could determine on an desirable venue. in case you're looking interior the Hollywood area, Jones Bar on Santa Monica Blvd. close to l. a. Brea, is one in all l. a.'s classic bar/eating places: the nutrition is nice and not too costly, the bar scene is spectacular, with warm bartenders and incredible cocktails, the jukebox cranks out incredible rock n roll song, and right here is the kicker - there is a massive room next to the main eating floor it is acceptable for birthday events under 40-50 human beings. in case you're searching for venues in different areas of l. a., might I advise finding out Yahoo close by or city-seek.
