Let me explain..
for the past couple of days, my ear has felt like it needed to pop. i tried getting it to pop a bunch of times, but nothing has worked. so yesterday, i thought maybe if i put a couple drops of hot water into my ear it might unblock it. boy was i wrong. well i accidently put alot of water in it. it made it completely worse. now im almost completely deaf in my left ear and my head feels like its going to explode. i can hear myself inside my head when i talk, i think thats the worst part. ive tried a couple of things but nothing has worked. i used earache drops, didnt work. i slept on my left side to see if the water would drain, it didnt. i keep trying to pop my ear, it wont. please help, its driving me insane.

Our doc always recommended using a blow dryer to help dry out my daughters ears after swimming. She had chronic ear infections for about 2 years. Try it on warm temp, don't blow directly into ear...more like at a 45 degree angle from the ear canal itself. A heating pad against your ear as your rest, or watch tv, etc, could help evaporate water too. If it continues to bother you may consider seeing a Dr. You may be getting swimmer's ear infection.

a number of valid recommendations were made. Peroxide and different drops help loosen wax interior the ear canal. warm air gently blown into the ear may actually help get rid of water, yet be careful no longer to apply too a lot air stress and move, or to burn your self. do not snicker on the nostril interior the ear remark, my mothers and fathers stated the purely ingredient you should position in the ear canal should be your elbow. An previous time well being care service taught me a a lot less complicated and safer attitude to water interior the ear. Use a lamp with a 100 watt bulb, the lamp coloration bumped off. sit with the bulb 12 inches far out of your ear ( with the mild on, for sure) for 20-0.5-hour. It has worked for me and my sufferers

Take a look for "Ear candles" at your local health food store. I use them when I get water in my ears from surfing. But if you find that you start to get dizzy for no reason or start to have pain in your ear you will need to see your Dr. as you will have developed an infection.
