Okay, my period came on in Feb., so I didn't think anyhting. But in this month, I had a lil spotting, but the doctor said that that would happen with the birth control pill I'm on....so like I said, I didn't think anyhting. It still hasn't come on, and it's went past it's usuaul dates. I'm worried that if I am prgnant, will the birth control pill I'm on affect the fetus? And should I even be worried anyway.

Yes you can spot and be pregnant. Take a test or see your Dr to ease your mind. If you are taking your pills correctly I really doubt you are pregnant.

Yes, you can get pregnant on the pill (I sure did and I did everything by the book, no skipping pills or anything). Yes, you can spot while pregnant (many women bleed a little when the embryo implants in their uterus). But no, the pill won't hurt the fetus. Studies show that babies born to moms who took birth control whiel pregnant have the same percentage of defects as babies whose moms didn't take birth control. So it makes no difference. It won't cause defects OR death, because it's not an abortion pill...it's meant to stop you from ovulating, but not kill a fetus already conceived. You're probably NOT pregnant, but go ahead and take a pregnancy test. It could happen. Good luck!

I had spotting with my first pregnancy, so it's possible. I would take a preg test asap. Also, they're still doing studies on the effects of birth control on an unborn baby...so far, I think they have said that there should be no harm to the fetus if birth control is taken for a short time (when you're unaware that you are pregnant), but it shouldn't be taken once you find out you're pregnant (pretty self-explanatory, I know!).

It is normal to have light bleeding and spotting when you first become pregnant. But this is also normal with the pill too. The birth control could affect your baby if you are pregnant so this would definatly be something to check up on. Birth control plays with a womans hormones though so don't freak out just call your doctor and tell him your symptoms.

Take a test. I know a girl who had a light period for seven months into her pregancy. Ive never heard of the pill hurting a fetus but Id take a test to be on the safe side.

There are women that experience bleeding/periods when pregnant. I would take a blood test to make sure that you are/arent pregnant. You should not take bc if you are pregnant so I would find out ASAP if you are. You should be worried because if you are -you need to be on prenatal vitamins and stop taking your bc and schedule an appt with your obgyn.
