but then last week says that we will need to have a permanent presence there in Iraq? Like always, Hillary is just trying to be popular by agreeing with the most current poll.

"We have a permanent presence in Germany, and Okinawa and Turkey as well. That's different than having 150K troops on active combat deployment."

Yes but her orriginal statement included withdrawing 100% of troops. When republicans say were always going to have some presence in Iraq the democrats scream "See they are never going to withdraw, Bush wants to stay there forever!! IT IS AN OCCUPATION!"

Just pointing out the flip-flop rhetoic of the liberals.

We have a permanent presence in Germany, and Okinawa and Turkey as well. That's different than having 150K troops on active combat deployment.

A permanent presence includes advisers and engineers and teachers, and a small armed contingent to defend the base. Just like any other permanent US installation. That's very different than an indefinite combat mission.

And while I don't support most of her ideas, I do have to give credit to anyone who realizes their original statement was either ambiguous or mistaken, and is willing to correct their stance based on new facts. In contrast to those who refuse to reconsider anything once they have made up their mind, regardless of how much changes in the interim.

I don't think that is a fair assessment..she was speaking of combat troops, and since some chastised her for saying that, she clarified. That being said, I wouldn't vote for her. but that isn't why, and if I didn't vote for people based on what they said or did to get votes, then I just couldn't vote for anyone. I am aware that corruption, scandal, missatements, and mistakes are made on both sides. i wish everyone else was.

Hillary says whatever the crowd wants to hear. Why would she want to be C-in-C of a military that both her & Bubba despised?

while a done bun can't be undone, one's opinion can change or be expanded upon. If you can't see that then don't travel too far, you might fall off the edge.

I already know she has opinions based on the polls. So tell me something new.
