You can check your body temp in your mouth, under your arm, or anally. I suggest orally (it's more comfortable, lol).
I think your most fertile days would be one week before your period, or maybe one week after your period. Just have sex everyday of the week (when you are not on your period) and have lots of FUN trying to conceive, hun!
Good Luck.

You can use a regular thermometer, what you do is take your temp EVERY morning at the same time befor even getting out of bed that is the only way you will get an accurate BBT..
Your temp will remain the same thorughout your cycle, when you notice a spike in your temp then that tells you whether you ovulated or not..It does not tell you if your ovulating nor befor you ovulate it tells when you have already ovulated..
If you miss your period and the temp remains higher then normal then congrads because you probably just conceived, constant high temp above normal BBT indicates the conception has occured and you need to take a test..
Keep in mind that colds, flues any sickness will affect the results of your BBT

You'll need to buy a basal thermometer. You can buy them at most drug stores for about $10. Take your temp every morning before getting up out of bed - preferably at the same time. Record your daily temps. When your temp spikes about 0.5 degrees F, then you ovulated the day before. Some people don't like this method because you find out you've ovulated after the fact, but it is a good tool for you and your doctor to see a pattern. BBT charts also help your doctor to diagnose certain fertility issues. Check out fertilityfriend.com for more info.

Hi! You need to get a digital basal body thermometer. You can pick one up at any larger drug store. Start taking your temps as soon as you wake up, before even getting up from bed. Chart it & you'll start to see the surges in temps. When they start to go up your starting to ovulate.
I hope that this info is of some help to you. Good luck!
Gigi
p.s. DO NOT USE A REGULAR THERMOMETER!
