Lice, Flies,Rats,Trench foot and trench mouth please????

I don't know of any websites - however WWI poetry by Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon could help with your research. As there would also have been injuries from shrapnel and bombs - resulting in loss of limbs too.
Also - visit the Imperial War Museum in London, they have a replica trench built, which you have to walk through. - Should give you a feel for things.

Go to your local library and check the history section you'll find a wealth of information there , read some of the first hand accounts and i think you will find most of what you need.

Visit the troops at the front in Afghanistan. They're undergoing the same conditions as our great grandfathers.

also see library books and textbooks, they ate out of dixies , they kept bacon without cooling it (could cause food poisoning) there is all sorts go on a search engine and search it . e.g. yahoo . google , ask .com etc
