I have a 89 honda accord LXI 5 speed. When I try to start the car it acts like it's gonna start but then dies. But the motor turns over but then loses all RPMS and dies out. And after it dies none of the check engine lights come on like if I killed it.And I was driving down the road and it did it when I put it into thrid gear at 20 MPH. So any ideas what it could be would help. Thanks.

dieing out like that,it sounds like a dirty gas filter.also it wouldnt hurt to run a test on the fuel pump.

You might try the following-Replacing the fuel filter, lose battery clamp, corrosion on the battery post, tune up and maybe check your fuses.

In addition to what the people above me said, check the alternator. It may not be keeping the battery properly charged.
