There's not one miracle oil but several may help.

During the day I would use Bergamot (uplifting & good for stress) with Geranium (good for depression & balancing to the hormones) in a vaporiser, or mix 3-5 drops in 2 teaspoons of carrier oil and rub a little into your neck and shoulders.

If you are really exhausted I would guess you are not sleeping well so at night have a warm bath with 2 drops each of roman chamomile (soothing, calming and good for depression), lavender (sedative and soothing) and clary sage (relaxing and uplifting). You can also mix a drop of each of these three in 2 teaspoons of carrier oil and massage into your neck and shoulders before you go to bed.

Also please make sure you are eating well, even if you don't feel much like it. Your body can't heal if it doesn't have all the right vitamins and minerals.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

citrus oils are good for uplifting the mood lemon, orange, grapefruit, bergamot etc.

But maybe if your suffering with depression you should release your emotions by using a more calming-relaxing blend such as clary sage, lavender, patchouli, sandalwood.

I would recommend you use citrus oils in the day time and the lavender etc before bed if your having trouble sleeping it will really help you.

Just make sure you understand how to use the oils first before you use them, read up on the oils first

Id personally use them in an oil burner, lavender on your pillow or blended with a massage oil.

If your interested in using essential oils use google to research different blends, i personally like cary sage, ylang ylang and patchouli mixed.

Holland and Barret sell essential oils, make sure you get pure as some can be synthetic fragrance.

hope Ive been some help to you.

Mandarin is one of my favourites. It is a really subtle smell.
I also like myrrh, i find it very relaxing.
Here's one of the better aromatherapy link i have come accross in many years. Enjoy!

citrus are really uplifting - you could do a blend of orange and grapefruit in a burner - you could put a drop of lavender and rosemary in your bath treat yourself to an aromatherapy massage and get more advice from the therapist

i dont think of it is going to harm u critically yet some might get irriated reactions to it, or perchance hypersensitivity. because of the fact the product is made for abode use, it in all risk doesnt incorporate something that would desire to have direct touch onto the floor. over all, its no longer risky yet i might say save that as minimum utilization. its constantly a marvelous thought to place a commute length or sampler perfumes in ur automobile, ask the acquaintances to furnish u some samples on the subsequent purchase of any perfumes :)

Definitely you should use some kind of orange scent - it is very uplifting. I read that the smell of orange really boosts our mood, as well as the colour of it - it's great - try it out! Either get orange smelling oil or just slice open an orange from the fruit bowl. It's been scientifically proven as well!

Bergamot oil is one of the best for depression. Also as someone else mentioned, any "orangy" scent is also supposed to be good. Neroli which someone else suggested is classed as an "exotic" oil and is rather expensive.
