For what it's worth, here is a partial list of what I was reading as a fifteen year-old boy:
Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut (and anything else by Vonnegut, for that matter).
The Martian Chronicles, The Illustrated Man, and other stuff by Ray Bradbury.
Various Edgar Rice Burroughs books when I was just looking for visceral action.
Watership Down and The Plague Dogs by Richard Adams.
The Invisible Man and War of the Worlds by HG Wells.
Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger.
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck.
Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn by Mark Twain.
Some other authors you might like (depending on your tastes and level of maturity) are:
John Fante, Hunter Thompson, JG Ballard, Nelson Algren,
Dashiel Hammett, Herman Hesse, James Baldwin, Paul Bowles, Jack Kerouac, Lynda Barry, etc.
If you're feeling really frisky you might want to give Moby Dick and Of Human Bondage a whirl.
Happy reading!

Have you read Philip Pullman. I was hooked on his books for a while, the trilogy called 'His Dark Materials' ('Northern Lights', 'The Subtle Knife' and 'The Amber Spyglass') He also wrote: 'The Ruby in the Smoke', 'The Shadow in the North', 'The Tiger in the Well', and 'The Tin Princess'
Another author I would recommend is Philip Reeve; 'Mortal Engines', 'Predators Gold', 'Infernal Devices'
'Holes' by Louis Sachar
'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time' by Mark Haddon
'Windsinger', 'Slaves of the Mastery' and 'Firesong' by William Nicholson
all I can think of right now.

Depends on what your interests are.
I like the "Cirque Du Freak" series by Darren Shan. Its about a vampires apprentice.
"Summerland" by Michael Chabon is a fantasy novel about baseball and saving the world.
There's a whole series of Resident Evil books written by S.D. Perry. Some are based on the games and some are origional stories.
"City of the Beasts" by Isabel Allende is about a boy sent to stay with his grandomthr and his travels with her to south america to search for a legendary "Beast"
Bill Wallace has a lot of good books about boys coming of age, and their various pets. It might be a bit below your reading level, but you could still check them out.

Choose whatever appeals to you! If you like science fiction, stories that challenge your mind and show truth in their words, then read that.
You could read adventures like Lord of the rings, Dirt eaters, The damned or even something Dr. Seuss!
There are many choices of genres! It all matter what you like. try a few different selections and see which you most enjoy. And remember do not stick to only one thing but you can enjoy all genres or even just a couple. Make your own choice, try some out and see what interests you.

There's a new book out (just yesterday, in fact) by Laurie Halse Anderson called "Twisted." Highly recommend it.
The "His Dark Materials" trilogy by Philip Pullman is excellent- it starts with "The Golden Compass."
"Stardust" by Neil Gaiman - it's also going to be a film this summer. I got this for my cousin a couple years ago (I think he was 16 or 17 at the time...) and he really liked it.
If you like high fantasy, try "Reiffen's Choice" by S. C. Butler.
"The Chocolate War" by Robert Cormier. Or read about Cormier himself, he was a very interesting man.
"The Rifle" by Gary Paulson is one of my boyfriend's favorite books.
Ummm... That's all I got for now. Hope you like some of them :-)

Go to www.dynamicbooks.net and check out all the books there. We do not sell any books ourselves, but our users typically place a link to them to sell that particular book. We make every effort to keep out obscene or inappropriate books for our younger crowd. Your son can also design a new book page about a book he likes and put his name on it at the bottom, but that isn't necessary. Also, this is all free!
