An audience looks for a movie with a great and intense force in a trailer. Take a look at 300, and see the success in the box office. It needs to make the viewer hang on the edge of their seats. If you can make someone care about a character with a trailer, then you are sure to succeed.

a good story something that looks intresting and the movie trailer can't give to much away for example the movie trailer dead silence. I went to go watch it just because of the movie trailer. Great movie too.

.I know what I hope for when I see a trailer ! Something that will just grab my attention with just one or two scenes . I've seen some trailers that suck and they use the best scene they could find for the trailer and nothing can help! | like the old trailers done in the 50s with the narration.

A trailer needs to convey the setup of the story. Who are the main characters, what do they want and what is standing in their way. A quick glimpse of any money shots to demonstrate production value is good, so long as you don't give away the ending.
