OMG, Did somebody say "a shirt"...? lol...
BAD idea (unless you're trying to get rid of him)...
Assuming that that is not the case, How about a romantic weekend getaway for the two of you. It will be harder to do such things after the baby comes along. So, do it while you can. Dinner, movie, quality time. It's all good !

Well first off you are carrying his gift one of the best and most memorable ones he will ever get. If you are talking materialistic well Big Screen TV, new HDMI Dvd player, PS3
if he likes videogames but remember they also play the new Blu-ray dvd's as well, a Hot Tub, If he is a golfer maybe a nice Golf Trip or a round at this favorite club, gift certificate to
Electronic store like Future Shop or Best Buy, a new tool he has been looking at lately?, Some nice clothes, some cologne and a nice meal out with you, these are to name just a few have fun shopping and deciding.
Congratulations on becoming a soon to be mommy and
God Bless may your baby bring you joy and happiness and be strong and in good health.

With a baby coming your together time is going to get limited. Maybe the two of you can escape to some place and have a nice quiet romantic weekend together. Forget everything and everyone else and just enjoy each others company. Take the time to rediscover each other and above all enjoy yourselves.

Go on a trip far away if you budget is not that tight go to Europe or somewhere romantic just for couples. Also buy something nice to wear for him, enjoy being together in a nice second honeymoon or maybe you can even go on a cruise.
But if you budget is tight go to dinner, rent a hotel room, get something nice to wear and get him a gift as well. make it romantic

Here's what I'm planning on doing when my anniv comes up this year.
During the day I'm going to rent a hotel room with a jacuzzi in it, have candles and champagne and my neglige there.
Then that evening, we'll do our usual "go out to a nice restaurant" routine, and while there I'll give him an anniv card with the hotel key in it.
Then when we're done eating, we'll go to the hotel and have a romantic, sexy evening together.

As if the kid isn't enough of a gift? OK. You married him. What are his likes and dislikes? Does he like golf? Maybe a new set of clubs.
For my second anniversary, the ex wife got me all new softball equipment. Doesn't sound like much, but I loved it and I still have it after being divorced for 10 years.

I guess it depends on his interests and hobbies more than anything else. If he likes working with tools around the house then maybe a new tool he's been drooling over.
If he has hobbies then get him something that applies.
To most guys something special isn't necessarily something sweet like many women expect.

You could make a treasure hunt of the things ye will not be able to do(or not as much) when the wee one arrives. Make it sexy, fun & baby informative! It could be lots of fun!
Start the evening before, by having him meet ye at a bar or club, maybe a late movie.
