I have really dry skin on parts of my face. I even had dry, red patches by my nose. Any Advice to help get a smooth, healthy looking complexion.

I had that same problem last year. I started using Aveeno Balancing Bar, and then a lotion called D.M.L. that I got from my dermatologist's office. (You can order it from drugstore.com, also.) It's expensive (about $15 per bottle), but that routine cleared up my problems in less than 1 week.

The lotion moisturizes better than anything you buy off the shelves, and it lasts SO long.

Yes! Arbonne has a great NutriMinC Re9 Anti-Aging Day Creme with an SPF of 8 and an Intelligence Daily Moisturizer. Arbonne's products are pure, safe, beneficial, made with proprietary blends of natural botanicals, and made with exceptionally high EUROPEAN STANDARDS of quality. They contain nanosphere technology that helps the product to adjust to your specific skin type (applying more moisture is dry areas and less in oily areas) - great for combination, oily, dry, and acne skin. The products are also water based and actually penetrate the dermis rather then just sitting on the top layer of the skin. This is most beneficial and will not cause your skin to look or feel greasy. I use the day creme ever day and I love it. If you're interested in learning more, I'll be happy to help you.

The best moisturizer I've tried to control my flakiness during the winter is (Origins Look Alive moisturizer $22.50). It moisturizes without the oily feel. The licorice brightens your skin, which I've already proven since I recently had a baby and was left with a couple of dark skin patches (hyperpigmentation) and the mica gives you that radiant dewey look. For something cheaper, try olive oil mixed with a little vitamin E. This also works!

H2o plus has some great mosturizing products that replenishes your skin with moisture. I love their Oasis line. I had really bad case of dry skin....it was all peeling and I put some of the Face Oasis by H2o and it was cured!

Merle Norman makes some moisturizer called Luxiva Preventage Firming Defense Cream, Normal/Dry, and I couldn't live without it! it really works. I know that's a huge name, but just write it down, take it to a merle norman cosmetics studio and ask for a sample. I have used this stuff for several years, it has your SPF in it and everything. and it will get your skin looking great!
Best Wishes

If your skin feels irritated, try a 1% hydrocortisone cream.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment is good for chapped skin.

Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic and really good for skin.

Vit E cream will work too.

A homemade mask of mashed avocado or mashed banana (about 1/4 cup) w/ 1-2 tbsp. of honey will hydrate and sooth your face.
