my doc said I have a blue cervix which usually means a woman is pregnant, but he didn't say yes or no. He told me to take a test next month. has anyone heard of this blue cervix?

I guess he told me to wait a month because I have not had a period since march of 2006. No birth control just weird body. I have a 5yr. old and one miscarriage back in '05. My previous doctor never bothered to find out why I don't have periods so this new guy wants answers.

what kind of cracker jack OB do you have that did not run proper test to see if his patient is pregnant or not?!?!?! (did he use a secret decoder ring too?) Im sorry but the inner workings of a woman is not like a mood ring if it was, more men would be down there head first to see what was going on with us.
Take a test now if your period is late. If he said that you were pregnant by his color by numbers method, then hcg should be detectable in your blood and urine at this time. and regardless of the results... FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR!

I have heard of a blue cervix before but don't actually know if there is any truth to it.....I went in for my annual exam only 2 days before having a positive pregnancy test with my second daughter and my OB had no idea from my exam that I was. I had just a had a miscarriage 3 months prior and she was very excited when I called in to make an appointment so I am sure if those signs would have been there she would have said something.

Yes I have heard that your cervix gets a bluish/purple color to it. I guess it because there is increased blood flow to the area. I don't know why your Dr. told you to wait a month though? Are you late for your period? If you are late, I would say take a test! I would also say consider a new Dr. If you are pregnant you want to find out so you can begin taking care of yourself (i.e. prenatal vitamins!). Why wait a month??? If you are not late yet then maybe wait a week or so, but not a month!

Yes I have heard a pregnant cervix has a blueish hue to it. It has to do with more blood in that area.

I'm sorry but the first thought that came to my mind was : Blue Cervix= Smurf... Sorry but I've never heard of a cervix being blue. Maybe having a blueish tint... but not actually being blue...
