ok i wanted to change my background on my pc. i have done it many times . i get tired of looking at the same pictures on here so i change them from time to time. so when i tried to today it will not do it i pull up the folder and right click on the picture i want to be my desktop background and nothing happens. so why want it work. i even tryed to do it by the control panel it will not let me scroll down to choose another picture. why any body know?

If you got some free screensavers or wallpaper from the net, some of them are loaded with malware that prevents them from being turned off easily. First scan using http://www.superantispyware.com for free.
Try defaulting to the Windows Theme. Restart. Then change your background.

Sounds like you've either a spyware or virus infection, so here's what you can do.
Click on the link below and scroll down the page to free online spyware & virus scans.
Select panda (ActiveScan) and click on the link.
When you get to their site, click on the Scan My Computer button.
Let it install the ActiveX control on your PC (it's safe to do so).
Eventually you'll be given a choice of which area to scan on your PC.
Select My Computer.
Don't sit there watching it scan - it can take a long time because it scans every file in your PC.
This should fix your problem.
