no one would be indignant. i understand the way it feels wearing pants to Gurdwara, I even have performed it some cases yet consistently want wearing a salwar kameez. as long as you're unlikely to Gurdwara with shorts or a mini skirt on, no one is going to declare something or think of poorly of you.
