Im 31 weeks pregnant now and my doctor said that I will most likely have her early because I am measuring really big which means that the baby is big and in my Ultra sound they said that she is really big for how along I am. Then My 2 year old was a month early being born at 36 weeks and weighing at 7 lbs 2 ounces. So he was a big boy too. So do you think that I will have this baby early too because of my past pregnancy and because of what my doctor said? I just want advice from ladies who have had this same experience. Thanks Much!!!

My doctors told me (with my first baby) that my due date would come and go (she was born on her due date) and that she would probably be between 6-7 pounds (she was 8 lbs, 11 oz). With that said, doctors know a lot, but they're not great predictors of what your baby will do. But, because of your first baby being born early (and big for 36 weeks!) and your second measuring big, anything can happen! I wouldn't worry about it...your baby will make an appearance when she's ready, not when your doctor says so. Sorry if I couldn't be of more help...I am 20 weeks pregnant, and I just have a feeling she's also going to be a big girl!

My first baby was 3 weeks early, she weighed 6lbs and 13 oz.The second one was 1 week over due, she weighed 8lb 15 oz. my last baby was 4 -5 days early and she weighed 7 lb 9 oz.
So, what I am saying is that there is no way to predict when....each pregnancy varies as much as fingerprints do....they all do their own thing.
My first labor was 32 minutes from start to finish, the second was 3 hours and 45 minutes --each of those were natural. The third was induced because my water broke with no following contractions ..the actual labor was with a patchy epidural and lasted for about 5 hours. No way to predict. If I had to do it again I would not let them use the pitocin and I would have tried to tough it out longer without the epi. That was my most painful and hard labor.
Good Luck and congratulations!

My now almost 4 month old was considered a "big baby" and was born at 41 weeks and was 9lbs12ozs. I had twins that were born at 37 weeks at 6lbs 2 ozs and 7 lbs 15ozs. I think I just grow big babies! LOL

That being said is your dr considering inducing for the mere fact that he "thinks" this baby is big? Or will he continue to allow you to go into labor naturally when the time is right?

I had my first child at 34 weeks, she was 5 and a half pounds, which is a good size for a 34 weeker, my second was born at 37 weeks and 7lbs 3 oz, each subsequent baby has come earlier than their due date, although none as early as the first.
Good luck!

I know you are anxious , but you just have to wait and see ! Baby will come when it's " ready " Have your hospital bag packed and waiting by the door ! Then you have done your part ! Make sure you have a babysitter for your son on " stand-by " too ! Relax and answer some questions while you wait or just pass time by reading everyone else's ! Congratulations !

A normal pregnancy ends between 36 and 40 weeks... don't worry about having you baby at 36 weeks, as long as his health is good... My boy came sooooooo late and I was sooooooo tired of waiting... you should be happy...
