It sounds like it would be the motor. It still runs fine just makes noise most of the time. There will be times that it isn't as loud as others. Any tips on taking one apart or replacing them? Are they all pretty much universal? Thanks

If it's a clicking sound....check that one of the wire nut connectors inside the enclosure hasn't moved and is hitting the enclosure.......happened to ours once
Good luck

I would just replace the whole fan. It is more of a pain in the butt to take it all apart and clean and oil it then to just replace. They are not very expensive anymore. Check walmart out.

Good Luck!!

check all the screws bolts and nuts etc.

second if the motor is making the noise, which will usually be a humming sount, the you can get a electric motor lubricant like wd40 etc.

for future postings please describe the type/sound of the noise its making.

If the fan doesn't wobble and all the screws are tight you have to choices
If it bothers you too much plan on buying a new fan.
If it is not that bad let it be.
