I always start with Wikipedia. A lot of information organized nicely. Pay special attention to sources and links at the bottom of the page. I also use words contained within the article to find more in internet searches. Wikipedia has an article on the UN Oil for food scandal. Interesting to note the Billions the UN turned over after being discredited was then turned over to the US Coalition, and was then sent over in cash by Bremer. The web is terrific. You have to be careful of sources but something on a blog may lead you to a real AP story. You might browse books at Amazon too. Nothing is simple-good luck.
