Proof once again that all the democrats care about is trying to make themselves look like the good guys. Maybe they should show just how much they care and investigate all the pardons Clinton made on his last day in office and how many of those pardoned had been charged because of CLINTON'S scandals. Otherwise we see right through all this smoke and mirrors crap they're pulling now.

"And there were no ongoing investigations that were killed."

Actually there were, and even so it is still legal. Maybe doesnt look good politically but is completely legal.

The simple fact is that Attorneys get fired if they dont agree to prosecute people based on the policy of the curretn administration, every president does this and if the dems win in 08 they will do the same thing. Its how the system was built why do they care??? Because its Bush and theyr trying to nail him to a cross like always.

For the umpteenth time, the situations are different.

The 93 were fired immediately upon Clinton taking office, as part of standard spring housecleaning that most administrations do. And there were no ongoing investigations that were killed.

That is different than firing 8 in the middle of a terms, for what might be unethical and improper reasons.

EDIT: For those who keep saying that the March 1993 firings did terminate ongoing investigations, please send me (privately if you want) links to that information. My research to date has not found anything like that, and if I'm wrong, I'd like to re-evaluate my conclusion based on any additional facts.

Those 8 attorneys were fired specifically for looking into and effectively prosecuting government corruption. Getting too close to the source, I'd say... Partisan political action? You bet!

It is routine to replace all US attorneys at the beginning of an administration. This has happened many times.

It is not routine to replace 8 REPUBLICAN attorneys who prosecuted and were in the process of investigating and prosecuting republican politicians.

Either you are ignorant or a demagogue.

Why didn't Congress impeach Clinton for those firings? Oh wait- they did, just not for that.
