If it's a non-living object that is capable of allowing disease transmission from one person to another it's called a fomite.

The other choice would be a reservoir, but that usually implies a vector (living intermediary) is involved.

its a virus. viruses arent living things. they can replicate only when they reach a host cell where they use the DNA to make copies of themselves.
