Why is it that people will ask a specific question like "what is the name of a song" or what channel is a show on" and then they let is go to a vote? DId they really not want to know? Do you only have a certain time to choose a "Best Answer" before Yahoo puts it to a vote? And does it still cost you 10 points if it goes to a vote? Just wondering and thanks in advance. I will be choosing a "Best Answer".

Well, it does not cost them 10 points, but, it does cost them 3 points. When you chose a best answer, you get three points.

Why people do not chose a best answer? That is one I can not answer. Is it just a total lack of manners, or is it just being lazy? If you don't like the answers given, there is a choice of None (worded slightly different).

Come on, it only take a few minutes and it generally makes people feel better about you.

Yes , I`ve many times wondered why they leave their questions so it goes under voting . I don`t think that they lose anything for not choosing a best answer , but if the votes result in (( No Best Answer )) 5 points is returned to the asker .
